Convention Ballet Forum
PLEASE NOTE: Ballet Forum is offered during the Summer Convention only.
The SADM Summer Ballet Forum provides students ages 12 to 21 (who have a minimum of two years ballet training) the opportunity to study with professional classical ballet faculty in a company atmosphere. Participating students also perform ballet choreography taught by a professional Ballet Master. This performance occurs at the annual SADM banquet.
To assure individual attention, participants are divided into two companies based on age and technical mastery following a placement class. The purpose of the placement class is to allow the choreographers to observe the students prior to the classes. Attendance at the placement class is mandatory. Final placement is solely at the discretion of our professional ballet faculty.
Ballet Forum fees are determined by the board of directors and may be subject to change. Please see the convention registration form for specific registration fees.
PLEASE NOTE: Participants in Ballet Forum are required to observe a strict dress code:
- Black leotard
- Pink tights
- Pink ballet shoes
- Hair in a bun
- Black ballet skirt (for performance)
