Things to Remember
DRESS CODE
- All students must wear one piece leotards or unitards.
- Boys may wear sweat pants or jazz pants & a t-shirt.
- No thong leotards, crop tops or hats are allowed.
- Hair must be neatly secured away from the face.
- Wristbands must be worn at all times.
- Appropriate cover-ups must be worn over dance clothes to and from classes.
BEHAVIOR CODE
- Be on time for classes.
- Do not bring gum, food, or drinks other than water into the dance rooms.
- Remain on the floor for the entire class.
- Show respect to faculty and participants; refrain from talking.
- No babies or small children are allowed in the ballrooms.
- Observers must sit in the Observer section of the ballroom.
MISCELLANEOUS
- There are three student ballrooms: Junior (ages 7 and up), Intermediate (ages 10 and up), Senior (ages 14 and up).
- Teachers, please make sure to place your students in the proper level.
- A $5.00 fee will be charged to change or replace lost wristbands.
- Members receive a video, lunch and banquet admission with their paid convention fees.
- Teachers: Members who register 8 or more students (non-members, 10 or more students) receive a free convention.
- Male students (not assistants) receive a discount of 50% on their registration fee.
- Assistant Teachers are not allowed to dance in the Senior Class.
- We need Student Dance Classroom Monitors.
PLEASE NOTE: Videotaping of any kind is strictly prohibited.
These codes will be strictly enforced and failure to comply could result in disqualification for scholarships or removal from class.
