Congratulations to Tracy Lyda
Board Member Tracy Lyda has been announced as the winner of the 2010 UNITY Curtain Call Professional Development Award. She will receive a $500 scholarship, which she is targeting to her company's community outreach programs.
"My Dance Company is a group of about 20 girls who act as leaders for the studio," says Tracy. "They are of course great dancers... but what I am most proud of is their continued dedication to our outreach program. This past year, we adopted a family in need during the holiday season and... we were able to provide a family of five a great Christmas. This scholarship will help fund more outreach projects in hopes that my students leave my program knowing that there are things they work for that will reward them in higher ways than trophies and medals."
